After all this time I made a design wall!
Well that wasn’t hard. Just thumb tacked a piece of batting on the wall! Wow so nice. What took so long…you can see I didn’t cut straight or measure! Might fix that someday…

Next up another Boxed In
Still a few more weeks until Bonnie’s mystery starts, plenty of time to also start new projects!. I’m on a mission to use up all my pre-cuts (charm squares, jelly rolls and layer cakes). Right now I have 6 quilts that need quilting which I hope my machine can handle. Then I still have oodles of fabrics left including fabric from GE Designs, all 1/2 yards pieces which I’m using as backs for quilts, sewing 2 or 3 together. At some point I know my sweet Bernina is going to conk out on me and likely I’ll at that time donate my fabric and do something different, probably knitting, since I can’t afford the machine I’d really like (Bernina 770QE). So anyway I’m starting another new quilt top, Boxed In, fabric cut and ready to sew. Oh yeah I have several more projects set aside for remaining pre-cuts!
Today I quilted this one with no problems…looking for something to use as binding

Two step
Well I ended up sewing the squares together, the instructions have a narrow border next which I’ll do to “float” the squares as my niece would say. Then an outer border not too wide

Two step, Missouri star quilt company
A very simple quilt using a jelly roll. This is one layout of possible many I have enough strips left to add another row or column, it’s now 5x6, so 5x7 6x6 or 6x7 don’t think it would look much different I will try another layout…also I don’t like the purple, may switch it out

Then I started another Boxed In. These are so simple and sew up really fast. All my different colored Xmas cactus are budding out! Going to be gorgeous all at once, can’t wait. And my Mandivilla which won’t survive the winter outside, is covered with blossoms
