 Saw this on FB marketplace. Always wanted one. She was dirty but cleaned up nicely. She was born 1956. I’ve been piecing several projects since Bernina is having a tuneup. But I love how it sews and the sweet motor noise! I may continue using it

 This is such a simple pattern you’d wonder how I could make a mistake (see the crooked one).  But possible!  Oh well easy to fix… or live with. I’m half way to 30 squares

More round the world

 I made 24 squares but 4x6 is an odd size so I’ll take off the last row, or I might try 5x5 and make one more square 

Here is sewn together version. Decided 5x5 is too big for donation so I have 5 extra squares to start another one!

Also I decided the gray star in charming stars has to go! So taking all the gray triangles off. I had only made one complete star so not such a bad job and I’ll love it so much better with a light color probably white. Which was what I started to do using some muslin. But I’ll use something better… 

And I started a GE Designs pattern called Jewel…it will go fast.

Round the World

 It’s been several years since I’ve made a Round the World quilt. I decided, in my project of using up scraps, to go through the 2-1/2” strip box. Not counting at least 2 dozen jelly roll parts and just one unopened, I had a great number of miscellaneous strips. So thus a favorite quilt. Nearly done. …

Last weekend I went to the Quilt Festival, after 3 years of pandemic. Good to be back!  Here is a quilt I    really want to try.   It’s called Color Dive

Another project to use 5” squares

 Have made at least 3 Charming Stars quilts so decided to make another. Using batik squares. Not sure about the gray stars, not enough contrast!  but stuck with it now!
