6 blocks done on Diatom
I think I’ll call this one done as I don’t have enough purple scraps to make the remaining 6 blocks, and I’m tired of all this purple! So for the next 6 blocks I’ll do something different …haven’t decided yet. And on a day I’m feeling ambitious I still may swap out that very dark in block one to match the dark in 5 and 6 I think I have enough fab

Another charm square challenge completed
Love how this one turned out, think I’ll give to a cousin’s granddaughter. Fun and easy to make and I have a pile of waiting charm squares! I see some crooked lines because my little measuring arm thingy on the walking foot became loose! Gotta keep checking that little screw!

Memory quilt
In 2014 while visiting my sister, we started making pineapple blocks, big ones. I eventually made 6 and she made 4. We had such a good time, all different scraps piled on her dining room table and us digging through them. My sis no longer quilts due to health and memory issues and so I gathered her squares and put with mine and made a lap quilt. It brings me memories looking at fabrics I used years ago and so I’m gifting it to her, maybe it’ll spark a memory for her

Think this’ll be an Easter cactus!
I ordered this on line 2-3 years ago, was listed as a yellow Christmas cactus. In reality it is a salmon color!

Block 5 of Diatom
I’m slowly running out of purple fabrics for this quilt along which is 12 blocks. I may have enough for the 6th block and could make a lap quilt. Then for the rest of the blocks use a different group of fabrics for another lap size This is block 6 before the frame part. This is the most difficult block I can remember making…matching all the seams and preserving points. Some parts I redid 4-5 times and still wasn’t satisfied! Yvonne has certainly taught me to strive for more preciseness! Not sure that’s a good thing!
