This was a free pattern from the Fat Quarter Shop, using one jelly roll. I was able to make two kid size quilts. I still have many of these 2.5” strips some part of a purchased bundle and others from parts …eventually I want to make another Round The World quilt
It bothered me that I hadn’t made the correct number of squares so I made 4 more and added borders. Now it’s ready for quilting!
All my blocks are squared up and ready to layout and sew. As I was following the diagram in the instructions I came up 4 short. Looking around for those 4 blocks was a waste of time for as I checked my phone photos I see I only had 20 blocks not 24. I swear I used 12 light and 12 dark fabrics…but I guess not. So my top is sewn together and now need to add some borders
I had a great aunt named Zoe but it was pronounced in one syllable; this one has 2. There are several ways to construct the block. First…sew blocks, (photo at bottom) then cut them up and sew back together! So fun… I’ll probably go with the second photo. There will be borders…

Looking back I see I made this in August…it was so awfully hot then and now it’s really cold, 6 months later. But it’s finally done and ready to donate. Why did it take so long!
This was hard! But finally got it right. Maybe I’m too old to follow directions!
This quilt along is by Quilting Jetgirl, I’ve made a few of her quilts. This one consists of 12 blocks here’s. The. First. I’m late to begin this, since I had Bonnie hunters mystery then GE Designs quilt along, and there’s another GE Design in a week! So busy and back to being motivated… this is an all purple quilt
