Today’s progress

 I greatly underestimated how much I still needed to complete before putting this together. Seems like endless little hourglass squares!  And I’ve got the block turned wrong, but wanted to get an idea of where I’m going!  Here is a photo of the entire quilt:

Now I’m going to make mine minus one row and minus one column. I’ve decided not to make the partial blocks that form setting triangles but instead cut triangles out of the aqua color that is used in the sashing. I wanted more of that color.  It’s nice to make a little progress!

Back to sewing

 My goodness it’s been almost a month since I’ve worked on the mystery clues. When I saw the reveal I didn’t particularly like it. But might as well put it together, what else to do with all the pieces!  I’m not making full size this time so hopefully I can finish quickly and get on to other things. I wish my sewing room was on the ground floor… 

Progress on clues

 Here are block 1 and block 2. The first is pretty but I hate the 2nd one!  Oh well keep plugging along…

Still have some Christmas flowers…2nd and 3rd set of blooms!

I see some progress!

 Working a little bit on all 6 clues, hoping to get to the point where I can see what a block will look like!  Hmm, I really don’t like scrappy cause I’m not good at it, but it will be okay the more I get to see  and we have one more color to add, Friday I’m hoping…

Working on Rhododendron Trail

 A few pieces, not really worthy of posting about!  Lots of cutting…lots of small pieces which means slow going.  Maybe that’s why I lose interest..!

 I still am slowly working through unfinished projects.  Plus starting the Bonnie Hunter mystery.  I had two unopened quilts for kids kits, got those two sewn and pinned and ready to quilt, that one is kinda blah!

I wanted to show my beautiful Christmas cactus this year. I have a red, white, hot pink, and salmon.  The white is done blooming but does have some buds coming. Love these plants!
