Time for a new project

 Whew..I finished the Grassy Creek mystery quilt, so glad to be done with it!  It is very big, 94” square and I wasn’t sure how quilting that big quilt would be. But my Bernina was amazing as always. I think she deserves a spa day now!

  I’m going to quilt along with Alycia for the latest QOV.  Pulled out reds, two shades of blues, and a background and see where it goes  and there are more of GE designs I’m eager to try

March doings

 Yikes I haven’t updated this month at all!  I did watch a really good series, A French Village, which I highly recommend. But I’ve been quilting too.  I finished two QFK quilts...love the pink!

Then I finished two of Gudrun’s designs (GE Designs).  Nova and Kira.  I love her quilts and there are more I want to do...

These two are destined for the H2H donations hosted by Sarah (see side bar).and I’m nearly finished quilting Wanda which will either go to Quilts for Kids (QFK) or H2H.  Then I have just one more quilt to be quilted, my Bonnie Hunter mystery, Grassy Creek. It’s the huge one, but then I’ll be back to smaller quilts!

Progress on Grassy Creek mystery

 Time to put this baby to bed!  I got it all pinned and ready to quilt, had to pin it in halves since I couldn’t find a big enough floor space, that dark spot is my pin box...

So that is put aside so I can finally get working on the Wanda quilt along with Gudrun of GE Designs. I love her designs and have made many of her patterns.  Here are my A blocks for Wanda. The folded quilt is my Grassy Creek in line for quilting.  There are two of Gudrun’s quilts also in line for quilting!

 I don’t have a space big enough!  Will have to move furniture to pin it. But it is done,

Border for Grassy Creek Mystery

 I’ve really been working on this almost every day, I have enough strip pieces for two sides of the quilt. Still plugging away!  Here’s an idea of how it will look

 Need to add a “completer” row all around, then a narrow border and the final border is a bunch of string blocks going up and down. Going to be a spectacular masterpiece!  Stay tuned...
