Drunkards Path baby quilt finished
Such a cute quilt... sending to my cousin's daughter's baby!
Also started finally on the 182 day Solstice, these are simple and take no time at all. I'm going to do blues one week, reds the next and so on.

Week 1 block is all I've done, and this was just going through my scraps, the other blocks have fabric chosen and ready to work on. Since I'm up to date on the mysteries, I can hopefully get caught up on the remaining 5 blocks before the next one due out next week

a Quick Project
I had a layer cake of fabrics Ive had for some time, the Drunkard Path template, and so I decided to make this baby quilt:

Meadow Mystery layout
I Finished making the rest of the blocks for this mystery, and laid it out for one possibility. I am so disappointed I chose such boring fabrics - I knew I wanted navy, aqua and lime green, just didn't know there'd be so MUCH background, but it'll be okay, a good donation quilt.
I put aside my work on the quiltville mystery, En Provence, because I want to start on Pat Sloan's mystery/quilt along. Guess I love having so many irons in the fire...

New Year, same ole me
Here is where I am on the Quiltville mystery, En Provence:
I tried something a little different in place of the big yellow squares, using HSTs, and at this point am undecided which I prefer! They really don't look all that different, from a distance.

The next clue in the Meadow Mystery has been released, but so far I've been occupied with En Provence and haven't started the other one. That mystery should be about over. I have decided on two quiltalongs to participate in. They are both by Pat Sloan (www.patsloan.com). One has already started, and is called the 182 day Solstice Challenge. It involves making 26 blocks from the winter solstice to the summer solstice with the blocks being released one per week. So are I'm 3 weeks behind. But decided on doing it with patriotic colors so it can be a QOV (Quilt of Valor) project for veterans. The second one of hers is called the 2017 The Children's Library, and is a mystery quilt. I might as well use patriotic colors on this one too. For me patriotic colors can be blues, reds and whites as well as browns, greens, yellows, etc. Need to use up more of my stash!
I also have taken out my 2.5" strips to make another Round the World quilt, this will be ongoing. Not going to make any big plans for 2017 at this point!
Oh wait, I forgot I wanted to do the H2H project this year again. She is designing some star quilts starting the end of January (http://confessionsofafabricaddict.blogspot.com/search?q=Stunning+stars)
Sounds fun! Also I'm keeping my eye on the Rainbow Scrap Challenge. I didn't do it last year but really enjoyed the year before

Keeping up with mysteries
Keeping up with En Provence, next clue 5 on Friday! The mystery clues are easy to keep up with this
time. Here's clue 4 (not all are pictured, there are 50 here and I've done 80).
I finished my 2nd rail fence quilt, this time in batiks with a couple non-batiks thrown in. I want to quickly make a few hot pads to pass out at our Christmas party, and at this point everything's right on schedule!

En Provence Part 4
I've made over half of the number needed for this clue. But I have a huge stack of the neutral triangles left over - don't know why cut so many extra!
Then I finished quilting on the QOV mystery, so it's ready to go..
I also put together the wonky rail fence top, and picked out a backing. I'll get this one ready for quilting next... the backing is a sheet I found at Savers!
