the squares are sewn together, deciding on a border.  This was a fun trip!

Friday - decisions

Decisions, decisions. Now I think I like this type of layout!  and I would make 4 more squares, making it 6x6 squares. Plus borders.  Maybe need to move some squares for better color placement?

You can't really see the blocks that are surrounded by one color (blue, red, green, black), so any random arrangement is no doubt the best here!  Still think I'll go with 36 squares..

Thursday trip

this is looking pretty good, I like the random feeling to it, might need to do some rearranging though.  I think I will want it 6x8, so I'm about half way.  As I look through my completed squares and try different arrangements, I see that using 4 of the same color up the diagonal as a frame looks nice.  So now I'm making sure I have 4 reds, 4 blues, 4 yellows, etc.  See how it goes...

More scrappy trip

These are fun to do and go fast.  Pepper is inspecting but says I've got it laid out wrong.

Now I've got it going the right way

Well, my job is done, wonder what's going on outdoors.

Design Wall Monday, Scrappy Trip

I've been wanting to get started making this for awhile, so happy to finally get to it.  I'm making a dent in my 2.5" strips!  Then I hope to get back to the weekly Barbara Brackman quilt squares - I am way way behind.
