UFO #10 - Big Star

I finally finished this big quilt, and it really is lovely if I do say so myself. Looks nice on my bed too.

I also made a maverick star for the QOV thing on Crazymom's blog.

UFO #9 - Bears in the Farmhouse

Yeah, another one finished! I can't believe how fast this quilting went, and no thread breaks or skipped stitches. I did put in a new needle, but everything else remained the same - using a sheet as a backing, a cheap Walmart one (used). The batt was a Mountain Mist Quilt Light, it turned out so soft, flexible and napable. Now I have 3 quilts left to finish.

UFO #7 - Maverick Stars finished

Another quilt top finished this week, so now there are 5 left to do. I love the backing on this, it looks like another quilt.

UFO #6 finished, Purple Mountain Majesty

This quilt turned out nicely. It is big and quite stiff from the batting I guess, I wonder if washing it would soften it up. This is number 6 of 12 - 6 left to do!

some flowers and tomatoes

Here is one of the hardy hisbiscus plants, a pink one. The blooms don't last long, just a day or so but are so dramatic. Here is another one, this bloom is 8 inches.
Unfortunately for reasons unknown my tomatoes were a disappointment this year, so I am savoring each and every one!

QOV mystery 16 - UFO #5

Finished with this one, which is one more down of the UFOs (5 done, 7 left).
