Koby 2 is Quilted, needs binding

 It’s been so #### hot I haven’t felt much like visiting the sewing room, at least not for long. But I’ve managed to get this Koby  quilted!  I tried a quilting design demonstrated by Christa Watson of Christa Quilts. Simple, easy and fast. You could quilt more lines but I felt I had enough  I have another one of this pattern and going to quilt it the same way

More completed quilts

 Here is charming stars made in batik fabrics. For the backing of the most recent quilts I’m using from some 1/2 yard pieces I bought from GE Designs. Trying real hard to use what I have as well as not buy more!  

Here is my purple Diatom from the Quilting Jetgirl quilt along. The backing is minky which is so soft and snuggly. Can’t wait to wrap up in it this winter…

Another Koby

 I cut my Kaffe fabric, so I’m committed   Some have suggested adding solid fabrics and I think I’ll add them in the narrow spots between the columns. Just haven’t decided yet!  Just do it, it’s only a quilt!

Meanwhile I’ve sandwiched three more quilts to be quilted.  And two more tops need backing…

Kaffe Fassett fabric

 I bought this fat quarter bundle at the quilt show in May and plan to make another Koby using it. I love his fabric. I have made a quilt using Kaffe fabric already, never gave away, plus I have a jelly roll of the fabric!  if you search this site for Kaffe, you'll find it...

Strip Twist is quilted and ready to gift

 Love how it turned out, sending to my sister’s granddaughter!  The backing is a half yard bundle from GE Designs called peacock …gorgeous
