Strip Tease 2.0 quilt along

 Following Gudrun from GE Design, started making the first step..block one.  The dark strip will all be in a horizontal position. Wondering how this is going to work out!

Well I figured out all the things I did wrong. Maybe I’m too old for new designs!  But all is not lost, just have to rip out and resew some squares. Here’s what it should look like with block 1 and block 2

Quilts for Ukraine

 Here they are done!  Ready to ship…

 I finally have the hearts done and together

!  I’ll put a narrow border first to “float” the top then two simple borders to make bigger. Wish I’d made it rectangular!  No more little bitty pieces!  Then quilt the two donation quilts and get them on their way….

Hope for Ukraine, Hearts of Hope

 Finally spent some time working on Bonnie’s quilt. I knew it would be time consuming so I’m taking a few shortcuts.  A few hearts. I will omit the string blocks border…got to simplify further if I want to get this finished in a timely manner!

Hearts of Hope

 Starting on the Bonnie Hunter quilt along for Ukraine. So many smaller pieces than the first quilt…can’t do this one in a day!  I may modify at some point. Fun so far!

Quilt for Ukraine, Hope

 I’m making Gudrun’s (of GE Design) quilt called Hope. We made it two years ago as a quarantine quilt.  Remember when we were quarantined?  Her quilt along got me through some of those awful days. Here are my A and B blocks and some possible layouts

Later in the afternoon I finished the top!  Now to start on Bonnie Hunter’s Hearts of Hope sew along!

 I’m calling it Ring of Fire. Finished, washed and dried, ready to donate!  Front and back.  Next up, work on quilts for Ukraine…
