Hearts of Hope

 Starting on the Bonnie Hunter quilt along for Ukraine. So many smaller pieces than the first quilt…can’t do this one in a day!  I may modify at some point. Fun so far!

Quilt for Ukraine, Hope

 I’m making Gudrun’s (of GE Design) quilt called Hope. We made it two years ago as a quarantine quilt.  Remember when we were quarantined?  Her quilt along got me through some of those awful days. Here are my A and B blocks and some possible layouts

Later in the afternoon I finished the top!  Now to start on Bonnie Hunter’s Hearts of Hope sew along!

Ring of Fire

 I’m calling it Ring of Fire. Finished, washed and dried, ready to donate!  Front and back.  Next up, work on quilts for Ukraine…

 Finally I’m done with this…this will probably be my last Bonnie Hunter mystery. Pondering where to donate, it’s a girly quilt.

She likes to help with the printer too!  I’m printing Bonnie Hunter’s directions for Ukraine quilts, think I’ll make one of hers and Hope of GE Designs .

Christmas cactus and amaryllis

 I love these simple rewarding plants. The red one is about 20 years old and still going strong. Bloomed again for Valentine’s Day.  It probably should be repotted..20 year old dirt?

Then the new plant, a salmon color has two blooms, it’s second bloom since Christmas 

There is one bloom on my white plant but none yet on the hot pink one…yet!  

And I finished a pile of hot pads I started three years ago using orphan blocks, for a family reunion. I ended up not going but I need new hot pads so they’ll get used!

I almost forgot this amaryllis from last year. I took it out of the garage and started watering it in January and here it is, so pretty

Pinning the mystery

 This will have to be the last time I crawl around the floor pinning a quilt. I’m too old!  But now to get it quilted and donated.  I’ve been finishing up some little projects, always feels good to get them done.
