My son's girlfriend brought me some fleece she’d had for years and asked me to make 4 blankets. Been dragging my heels but decided to tackle it. Nothing fancy just sew together and self bind. Three are done! One more to go. Hope this is a good omen and I get back to quilting!

Hey June
Hey June is a GE Designs pattern I am doing next. Although I didn’t sew on the day of the quilt along, I watched the videos and bought the pattern. Looks like it’ll be fun! Just need to choose fabrics always the hardest part…
We’ve had stinking hot weather, I haven’t felt like going back to my sewing room. But that has to change!

And now it’s June, where did May go…
May was a lovely month this year, perfect weather, gorgeous days and lots of gardening. I started 35 milkweed plants after getting inspired to help the Monarch butterfly…I may have gone overboard! I hope to get back in the groove soon..meanwhile here are some of my flowers,

Finishes, in part
My QOV top is finished, ready for quilting and the backing is prepared. I keep intending to take my Bernina in for service but seems there is always another quilt to quilt!
Also finished my GE Designs strip along, Strip Joints
I brought home two more QFK kits to work on along with everything else!

Working on Bokeh quilt along
Here’s the first block..not very exciting. What will add more interest is curved pieces the next part.
And here is a look at Strip Joints. The opposite colors form the next block. You could say I like purples!

For the QOV, it’s going to look like this with dark blue setting triangles. Still working on Strip Joints and Bokeh Quilt Along...mostly keeping up!
