Slowly making progress! After completing all the main star blocks I thought I’d see what this project is going to look like. Looks like I need some sashing and more half blocks...gee who knew this would be so tedious!but glad I stuck with it and can sort of see the light at the end of the tunnel

Coming together
This isn’t a difficult pattern but it does take time, lots of sewing and matching seams (or not)... here’s a start at a corner, the last row will have a half square block on each end. Need to make them!,

Half blocks and corners
Will need corners and half blocks... so many pieces to solve this giant puzzle! I think the end is near!

This is slow going
Maybe I get tired or bored, but it’s not as all consuming as in years past. A few more squares done, and they won’t be next to each other in the finished product, just to show the pattern and colors...

A few Frolic squares
Over 60 pieces in each square means lots of seams to match. Kind of slow going. In two hours I only completed three. Then two more. Aiming for 5 a day!

First Frolic square ...amazing
This went together really well, following Bonnie’s exact instructions for sewing and pressing. I am amazed at her creativity. I hope I can chain piece these square units without getting confused! Easy to do for me...to get confused, that is! I miss the old linkups on her blog of yesteryear, when you could give and receive comments. Like to see what other people are doing. Oh yes there’s FB and Instagram...too much bother

Frolic reveal
It’s been fun getting up on Friday mornings to see what our Bonnie has in store for us, kind of like Christmas morning! Today was the reveal and it does look complicated on the first read. I still have the clue from a week ago to complete so it’s best not to look at things too far ahead. One step at a time. Here are the pinwheels from one of the steps. They are pretty!
Here is a picture of keeping parts separate, if a big burst of wind came along and messed up everything, it’d be almost impossible to pair them up again !!
I did jump ahead to see how these colors played together and what a square would look like... I think I’m going to like it! It’s been fun.
