I finished my two baby quilts for my cousin’s  twin grand babies, two quilts from one jelly roll!

Then I completed two quilts for our local Quilts for Kids group (QFK) I love this gingham pattern and am making another quilt for another cousin’s grand baby.

Next QOV mystery

Alycia has started the next QOV mystery, the next clue will be out tomorrow. Here’s what my clues look like...
Not very exciting, but more colors coming!  Navy for example....

I also finished the quilting and binding on my Camp Oda May quilt, it’s all ready for chilly weather, and it is heavy, I guess from all the seams?
I was all set to start quilting on the two baby quilts, then up popped the icon telling me to take my Bernina in for her checkup up...I’m not having problems but I guess I should do that. I can always do some piecing on my Featherweight while it’s gone!

Saturday Jelly Roll Day

I decided to get in the spirit and participate and use up one of many jelly rolls.  Moda Bake Shop has a pattern that makes two baby quilts, this appealed to me as I need quilts for twin girls!  I added borders to make it 40” square,

2nd September finish

This was the Fat Quarter Shop’s 2017 Designer Mystery, with modifications...  I washed it with my just completed Cartwheels, which used batik fabrics, and had some dye stain on the border. Looking for recommendations how to remove stains! Wish I’d washed these separately:(

More August finishes

Finally finished this quilt top started in 2017, it was the 2017 Designer Block of the Month and by the time I completed the blocks this year, the finishing kit was not available. So I used scraps to frame and border the squares, not what it was designed to be!  It’s a nice lap size and will be nice to donate to a child.
I then finished another one started last year, Cartwheels, using a batik jelly roll. The backing is a microfiber sheet, very soft. Another one to donate

So I’m to the point where I need to sandwich and pin two tops, then quilt three. That will be the absolute end of most everything I’ve started!  What a funny feeling, I usually have a few under construction at any one time. BUT Alycia's QOV mystery starts September 5 so that gives me time to get ideas. I do have parts for two more 3-hour baby gingham quilts cut out, and my cousin’s daughter just had twins!  And another cousin’s daughter had a boy, so I’ll keep busy. Before you know it another Bonnie Hunter mystery will be out...
