Zany Zebraz

Finished the 9 blocks, now to put together.  I saw some zebra material I want to buy and use for the backing.

Pinning a big quilt

Wow, Tell it to the Stars is big!  I've quilted others this big, but I sure will be glad when it's done.  not sure how to quilt it...upper left corner isn't cooperating as to being flat, hope it will "quilt out" okay!

Color Wheel block

Here's the first block of the Color Wheel Quilt.  Definitely a learning "curve" with this, hopefully I will improve as I go along.  There are 12 wheels in the quilt, for a 64"x64" finish.  The pattern called for different "low volume" backgrounds but I don't have that, so good ole Kona gray is my backup choice.  For the colors, I had a pack of rectangles 2.5"x5" that were popular a few years ago, plus I have been buying charm squares from the Missouri Quilt Company, their "daily Deals" and don't think I need any more deals!  In fact I'll be looking for patterns using the 5" squares...

Let's get organized

Since the beginning of this year, I have started one project after another, can't seem to control myself!  And I did see another one I have started! it's the Color Wheel block and I can't remember where I saw it...  So in order for me to better see what I'm doing, I am listing my projects here.

NEW:
1.  Bitty Blocks - monthly program started in January 2015.  Keeping up mostly.
2. Rainbow Scrap Challenge - monthly program started January 2015, keeping up.
3. Disappearing Hourglass -  Started in February, As seen on the Missouri Star Quilt Company tutorial, half way finished.  DONE AND DONATED
4. Orange Peel - Started in March, as seen on the Missouri Star Quilt Company tutorial, half way finished. 
5. Zany Zebraz - Started in April, 6 of 9 zebras completed.  DONE AND DONATED
6. Rainbow String quilt - just started in April, pinks,blues,yellows,purples made. Not sure how many I need. 
7. Color Wheel Block, just started in May.

OLD:
1.  Economy Blocks - a lot made
2.  Nabby's Diary - all pieces made, just need to put together
3.  Pineapple Block - 6 made, not sure how many I need

To Be Quilted:
1.  Tell it To The Stars - sew along with Judy Laquidara.  DONE!
2.  Mystery quilt, Grand Illusion with Bonnie Hunter.  DONE!

I think I included them all - Gee that's not too bad now that I have a list...  I should print this list! and get to work!  I think it's enough to work on until Bonnie Hunter's mystery quilt in November!  PS:  I started to insert a link to all the new quilt blocks I've started, but it was too laborious so just search the blog if you're interested...

I lost last week! but did manage to sew a little.  There are a few more zebras,

Wednesday WIP

This week I worked on the April squares for the Bitty Block sew along.  So I'm caught up with this one...but still have to do the Rainbow Scrap Challenge, hopefully by week's end.
