Wednesday WIP

This week I worked on the April squares for the Bitty Block sew along.  So I'm caught up with this one...but still have to do the Rainbow Scrap Challenge, hopefully by week's end.

Monday Design Wall

I love the Zany ZebraZ, I should be working faster than I am!

Also have a few more of the orange peel blocks.  Since it takes 4 blocks to make a square and I am using one charm pack, I need to go shopping in my stash for colors that coordinate to make up the difference.  I haven't decided on a size, but I will need at least 20 total, and can get 10.5 from the charms.  I'm planning for this quilt as one of my donation quilts to Hands2Help

 

and I also got my Charming Stars pinned and ready to quilt - this will be my 2nd donation quilt to Hands2Help. 

 

I am behind on the monthly Bitty Blocks and Rainbow Scrap Challenge, but will get caught up!

Tuesday offering

I finished my little name thing, it is from a Harry Potter alphabet found on http://www.fandominstitches.com/2011/05/harry-potter.html  to hang in  my sewing room!  When I was finished I think I should have placed the letters closer together..

And I started the Zany Zebraz, by the same blogger as the Elephant Parade.  I love these zebras!

Wednesday update

I can't seem to stay focused on any one task and so I've started two new projects!  and I still have two to start that I planned to do, the Snowball Ninepatch sewalong, plus the  Sweet 16 sewalong.  Oh there's plenty of time...!  So I saw the tutorial on the Missouri Star Quilt Company that demonstrated an easy way to make an orange peel block, so I just had to try it since I had a new stack of charm squares.   Then I saw some blogger who had paper pieced her name with the Harry Potter alphabet, and I had to try that too!  Just call me adventurous or something...

and I did get one baby quilt done for donation to H2H, one more to pin.
