12 Big Stars !

Ready to put this together, I think I started it about 2 years ago, nothing planned, it just evolved.  Some sashing and cornerstones come next.

Big Star blocks

I don't know the name of these blocks, I just call them Big Star since they are big, 12.5" square.  Need to look at different layouts for blocks, perhaps make 2-3 more.  I don't know why they have languished so long, it takes about 10 minutes to make one!

Wednesday's work

I'm busy busy working along, a little bit on each project.  Today I made one more Big Star square, plus the "F" in the Little Letters quilt.  Fun!

September Charming Stars

these Charm Stars are so easy and fast, and big - 14" - this quilt will go together fast.  Using the charm squares from my stash...a combination of Civil War and other packs that caught my eye.  It still doesn't use all of course, and I don't have enough of the white for sashing, so will use some other white in my stash.   The sashing will help to brighten.

Saturday Planning Day - some new some old

With the passing of the hot weather, it is now comfortable in my sewing room, so I have resurrected a couple of quilts I'm working on, plus starting a couple new!  Gotta keep it interesting...
Here is one old one I am working again on, Big Star,  I'm thinking of sprinkling some smaller stars on it plus add a few more colors.  I haven't actually made any progress on this, other than putting it on the wall!

The next one to be resurrected is the Economy Block quilt, I love this one and had such fun making the blocks, again nothing new added yet, just put on the wall...

The new ones I'm starting are Little Letters as seen on Temecula Quilts http://temeculaquiltco.blogspot.com  These are super easy nothing like the free form letters I made a few years ago.  http://berylthepearl.blogspot.com/2011/10/alphabet-so-far.html I like the easy patterns!  This will be a baby quilt.

I have an assortment of charm squares, mostly browns and blues and this seems like a good way to use them up, and hoping they go together nicely.  Am working on it right now, so no picture to show.  I figure if I put all these plans where I can see what I said, it will help me stay focused.  Now get to work!

Sunday's finish, Houndstooth Check top

I have spend all day trying out different borders, and finally decided to keep the two color scheme and not detract from the design.  So now it's ready for quilting, and now measures 65"x78"
