It sure has taken be a long time to put this one together. I'm not loving all the light of the border, but I did try and follow the suggested finishing idea, with my leftover scraps. For the border I had to dig into my Kona bone. It will be pretty quilted and I love the soft colors.
Next to work on is the Yahoo military mystery, plus get ready for Bonnie's mystery!

Weekend Progress
I am putting together the top from the Designer BOM. I am desperately trying to use all the leftover pieces to do the sashing and borders. Getting to be a challenge as I am down to the first and second border. Somehow I'll make it!

October finishes
I finished this placemat/table runner set, which was a Quiltaholics mystery several years ago.
here's the back of the placemats... and the camera strap!
here's the back of the runner
Then I \made another quilt for Quilts for Kids and sent it plus 2 others I made to QFK. This is placed on top on a quilt on my bed, I couldn't get it out of the picture. I took a picture of the other 2 here http://berylthepearl.blogspot.com/2013/10/finish-it-up-friday.html
Slowly getting the back log cleared in preparation for new mysteries and other starts!

Thursday finish
This one is finally finished and in use! it is heavy and big....
and now to figure out a setting for these squares...
I've seen some put them together with flying geese sashing, which is cute. Maybe I'll do that using the leftover scraps..

Where does the time go - Wednesday!
I am getting ready to put on the binding on the purple suffragette quilt, when Joy is done napping. We are enjoying it as is!
I did finish a little cat mat, this design I wanted to try but found it more difficult than I hoped, so turned it into a sleeping mat for a cat. Pepper likes to lie in the morning sun...
