Quiltalong top finally finished

Finally finished this. I feel like it needs a solid color border but this is where the directions end. It will no doubt sit awhile before I make any final decision. Now to finish the Jelly Roll top!

white Hibiscus

I think this is the best shot I am going to get of the white one, it isn't opened completely but they only last about a day. Nasty little wasp got in the picture...

here's another one taken 2 days later... (a different blossom)

Wildflower Hike

On Sunday I went on a wildflower hike to Albion Basin in Little Cottonwood Canyon. I was with friends, one of whom is a Master Gardener and she was able to name every flower! It was a treat and a feast for the eyes. I didn't get as many pictures as I wished because my battery died mid way. But when I got home I was able to find all the flowers we saw in my flower book. This hike is a yearly must do!

this is a field of blue penstemons

in the gentian family (I think)

Week 8 of the quiltalong

here is the latest week's addition. Each week is a little bigger than the one before, but the width is now going to stay as is, for a twin size, with additional rows on top and bottom. It is very pretty material. Now who should I give it to??
